Happy December, Families!

Last month was a busy one, and this month is always full of excitement and fun. As we get closer to winter break, students (and staff!) usually get a little extra wiggly—but we are still fully dedicated to academics. This month, our amazing Title team will be benchmarking all students. During this time, students are assessed in reading and math. This information helps guide instruction and allows us to better support every learner.

Sick season has definitely hit, and our attendance was down quite a bit last month. Please continue to prioritize getting to school when your child is well enough, and let us know whenever they will be out. Here at school, we are encouraging thorough handwashing, covering coughs, and giving each other space to stay as healthy as possible.

We have some fun events coming up, so be sure to check out the December calendar. As we get closer to big activities, such as the Holiday Lunch, please keep an eye on your child’s backpack and ParentSquare for more details. There are also lots of wonderful community events happening this month that are free and festive!

Finally, our character trait of the month is Integrity. Integrity means doing the right thing—even when no one is watching. Throughout December, we will be talking with students about honesty, responsibility, and making choices that reflect kindness and respect. This is a great trait to practice at school and at home, and we look forward to celebrating students who show integrity in big and small ways.

Finally, as the holidays approach, families can experience both joy and worry. This is often a stressful month financially, and many of us are juggling celebrations with our budgets. Please reach out to us if you need anything. We are here to support our families, and we care deeply about your well-being
